Acceptance
By accessing or using stealthpay.org (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Use (the "Terms"). If you do not agree, you should not use the Site. Your continued use of the Site after changes to these Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are a contract between you and Stealth R&D LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("Stealth", "we", "us", "our").
Nature of the site
The Site is a public informational resource about stealthpay — a control plane for private agent payments — and the Stealth protocol it builds on: an open-source, decentralized cryptocurrency network that has operated a live public mainnet since July 2014. The Site describes the product's design, documents its history, and points visitors to the open-source software repositories, block explorers, and community channels operated by independent third parties.
The Site itself:
- Does not operate a cryptocurrency exchange.
- Does not custody, hold, or transfer any digital assets on behalf of any user.
- Does not provide wallet services, key-management services, or any financial service of any kind.
- Does not offer any token, security, or investment for sale.
The Stealth protocol itself is operated by a decentralized network of independent nodes. Stealth R&D LLC maintains this website and contributes to open-source software, but does not control the protocol, does not make decisions on behalf of protocol participants, and cannot censor, reverse, or otherwise interfere with transactions on the network.
No financial advice
Important: Nothing on this Site is, or should be construed as, investment advice, financial advice, legal advice, tax advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or transact in any digital asset. Digital assets are volatile, carry significant risk, and may lose value rapidly or entirely. Do your own research. If you need advice, consult a licensed professional in your jurisdiction.
Statements about the Stealth protocol's technical properties (for example, its transaction throughput, block time, or feature set) are factual descriptions of what the open-source software does and are not predictions of future performance, price, adoption, or regulatory outcome. Past performance of any digital asset, including XST, is not indicative of future results.
Stealth R&D LLC is not a registered broker-dealer, investment adviser, money transmitter, or financial institution in any jurisdiction. We make no offer to sell, and do not solicit offers to buy, any security anywhere.
Open-source software
The reference implementations of the Stealth protocol — including the core node software and related tooling — are distributed as free and open-source software under permissive licenses (primarily the MIT License). The Site may link to source repositories on GitHub and elsewhere.
Your use of the open-source software is governed by the license that accompanies the software, not by these Terms. Those licenses grant you broad rights but also contain important disclaimers of warranty. We encourage you to read them before using the software.
Nothing in these Terms restricts your rights under any open-source license.
Trademarks
The Stealth icon is a protected trademark of Stealth R&D LLC. Other names, product names, company names, and logos mentioned on the Site may be trademarks of their respective owners. Mention of a third-party mark on the Site is for identification purposes only and does not imply endorsement.
You may use the Stealth name and icon to accurately refer to the Stealth protocol, stealthpay, and this project in news reporting, academic work, open-source documentation, and community discussion — we encourage this. You may not use the Stealth name or icon in a way that implies sponsorship or endorsement of a product, service, or person by Stealth R&D LLC without our prior written permission, or in a way that is confusing, deceptive, or disparaging.
User conduct
When using the Site, you agree that you will not:
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Site or its underlying infrastructure.
- Attempt to access, probe, or test the vulnerability of the Site or any associated system, or circumvent any security measure, without prior written authorization.
- Use automated tools to scrape content from the Site in a manner that imposes an unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
- Impersonate Stealth R&D LLC or any of its representatives.
- Use the Site to violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right.
Responsible security research is welcome. If you have identified a potential vulnerability, please report it to hello@stealth.org rather than disclosing it publicly.
Community Standards & Child Safety
The following standards apply to stealthsend, the end-to-end encrypted messaging and wallet application published by Stealth R&D LLC, on every platform on which it is distributed. They define what is prohibited when using it and how to raise a concern.
Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE)
Stealth R&D LLC has a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation. The following are strictly prohibited on stealthsend and constitute a fundamental breach of these Terms:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form.
- Sexualization of, or sexually explicit conduct involving, any person under 18.
- Grooming, solicitation, sextortion, or any attempt to engage a minor in sexual activity or to produce, obtain, or distribute such material.
- Trafficking, endangerment, or any other sexual exploitation of a minor.
Text only. By design, stealthsend cannot transmit images or any non-text media — messages are text only — so the transmission of visual abuse material through the app is not technically possible. Prohibited text-based conduct above remains a breach regardless.
How we respond to CSAE
stealthsend is end-to-end encrypted: Stealth R&D LLC cannot read messages and does not monitor, scan, or moderate their content, and no such capability exists. Where we nonetheless obtain actual knowledge of CSAE — for example through a user report submitted to the contact below — we will act in accordance with these standards and applicable law, which includes removing offending content within our control, terminating offending accounts where possible, and reporting CSAM to the U.S. National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or the appropriate authorities as required by law.
Other prohibited conduct
You may not use stealthsend to harass, threaten, or abuse others; distribute unlawful content; impersonate another person; distribute malware; or engage in any activity unlawful in your jurisdiction. Because the app is permissionless and messages are encrypted, enforcement is inherently limited to the mechanisms described here.
Your controls
- Blocking. You can block any address at any time. Blocking is enforced on your own device: a blocked sender's messages are silently discarded and the blocked party is not notified.
- Not receiving unsolicited contact. Sending a message requires the sender to commit an economic bond; there is no cost to receiving, and you are never required to respond.
Reporting a concern
To report abuse — including any child-safety concern — or for any question about these standards, contact hello@stealth.org. This channel is available from within the app (About / Settings) and externally. For child-safety matters, the designated point of contact is Sascha Pahlke (hello@stealth.org).
Reports are reviewed by a human. Because messages are end-to-end encrypted, we can only act on information you choose to include in your report; only a participant in a conversation is able to disclose its contents.
Third-party links and services
The Site links to third-party websites, services, and repositories, including block explorers, community forums, code hosts, and social-media platforms. We do not operate or control these third parties, and their inclusion on the Site does not constitute endorsement. You access third-party sites at your own risk and subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
No warranty
THE SITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. WE MAKE NO WARRANTY REGARDING THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR TIMELINESS OF ANY INFORMATION ON THE SITE.
Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL STEALTH R&D LLC, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF DIGITAL ASSETS, LOSS OF GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SITE EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above may not apply to you.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Stealth R&D LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and contributors from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or third-party right.
Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wilmington, Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the Last updated date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated more prominently, for example through a notice on the homepage. Your continued use of the Site after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of those Terms.
